Shane Carnine received his J.D. in 2003 from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Shane’s undergraduate studies were in political science, with a semester abroad to study international law and government. While at SIU law school, he was recognized for his excellence in Corporations and Evidence and served as an Articles Editor on the Law Journal. Shane spent a term as a judicial clerk in the Salt Lake City Court of Appeals. He then practiced for over a dozen years as an insurance defense attorney. He brings unique perspectives to the practice with over a decade of civil litigation and trial experience. Shane initially received the Emerging Lawyer designation by the Leading Lawyer Network in 2014. Less than 2% of all Illinois lawyers under 40 years old have received this distinction. Mr. Carnine was profiled by the Leading Lawyer Network in 2016.
Hometown Biography: Shane was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where he graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School. He is the son of Roy and Laura Carnine. Shane and his wife Erica are the parents of two sets of twins and live in Jefferson County, Illinois. Bar Admissions
